Every secondary school in Britain will have received a copy of the new Fit DVD. The video is the first to tackle homophobic bullying in schools and has been commissioned by Stonewall, LGB lobbying charity, to connect with teenagers and learn about the issues faced by LGB students.
FIT, written by Rikki Beadle-Blair and Team Angelica, was originally launched as a play for schools in 2008, and was seen by 20,000 pupils. About 80% of those who saw the play admitted at the start that they thought homosexuality was wrong, by the end the majority had changed their stance. The response to the new DVD version has proved extremely positive from pupils and teachers.
